The Star Clipper Dinner Trains offers a full schedule of entertainment on their fall line up of murder mysteries, music, Halloween, Christmas and New Year Excursions.
Michigan Star Clipper offers the excitement of rail travel for the family in vintage passenger cars dating to the golden era of railroad travel. The Star Clipper Diner Train is based in Walled Lake Michigan in the metropolitan Detroit area. Take a scenic rail tour aboard the oldest and finest dinner train the the United States.
The Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train is celebrating 24 years of memorable dinner train experiences in 2008. The Passengers enjoy an elegant meal, prepared on board, just like in the heyday of romantic rail travel. The two and half hour train ride features live table side entertainment. There are several fall, and holiday seasonal trains scheduled for the seasons ahead.
Weekend Excursion Trains
Friday and Saturday Nights feature murder mysteries and musical performances. Friday nights in October features the murder mystery , Murder on the Star Clipper. The Saturday mystery for October is Murder Madness. In November, a new mystery show, What's My Crime?, premieres on Friday night.
Sunday Family Dinner Trains. The family friendly trains are a popular way for families to spend a special Sunday afternoon together. Passengers enjoy a two hour rides while dining on a three course meal prepared on board by a chef. Fare for this casual Sunday outing is $54 for Adults and $29 for children.
October and Halloween Trains
Hobo Halloween Express. Kid friendly Halloween fun features the return of the Wacky Witches and friendly ghosts. Passengers are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes. The Hobo trains runs on Saturday and Sunday afternoons in October. Tickets are $20.
Moonlight Ghost Trains. The ghost train features the Haunted Railroad Car for a one and a half hour train ride designed to scar older kids and adults. Halloween costumes are encouraged. The ghost train runs evenings on October 17, 18, 24, 25, 26, 29 and 30. Tickets $25.
Monster Mash Haunted Dinner Train are a Halloween dinner train with special entertainment by Mr. MoTown. Monster Mash runs October 31 & 31 at 7:30 pm. Tickets $45
November Trains
November Children's and Family Luncheon Trains have a different theme each Sunday. On November 1, the Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Express, returns. On November 15, enjoy Lunch with Bob the Builder and Strawberry Shortcake. On November 29, the Family Holiday Musical is back by popular demand.
December Trains
Breakfast with Santa Trains are a two hour ride on a train featuring breakfast with Santa and Christmas entertainment. The Santa Train departs on at 10 am on Saturday the 6th, 13th and 20th. Sing along with Santa's elves on the Michigan Star Clipper Dinner Train. Tickets: $35 Adults and $25 Children.
Holiday Luncheon Trains. Guests abroad the two hour train ride enjoy a three course holiday luncheon and live entertainment, including the Holiday madness murder mystery and Traditional Holiday Musical. December 2, 11, 5, 19 and 27. Tickets $54 adults and $29 children.
The Star Clipper Premium Polar Express. Popular Santa Claus Train is always a sell out, so reserve early. The two hour Christmas train includes live musical entertainment, Polar Express Music Review, storytelling, chocolate and cookies. Tickets $35 adults and $30 children.
New Year's Eve Party Train
New Year's Eve Party Train. Ring in the New Year aboard the Star Clipper. the four hour train ride departs at 9 pm. $135- $185.
